As a "depth journalist," my beat is covering the psychological, spiritual, historical and archetypal dimensions underlying surface events. What drives me as a writer is the search for the inner story concealed within outer facts, whether current events such as political polarization and the environment, or more enduring topics such as creativity, family, or even the weather. I believe that finding the hidden themes operating in the background of our everyday lives helps broaden our perspective, instill wisdom and enliven the mundane with a touch of magic. It's what keeps me writing and researching and, I hope, will keep readers reading.

Lecture: As a writer and journalist on the inner life interviewing scholars, religious and spiritual teachers, psychologists and Jungian analysts, Pythia Peay will speak on the mythic narratives operating beneath the surface flow of public events. Drawing on the work of Jung and contemporary Jungian analysts and psychologists, she will discuss several theme.
Workshop: Peay will help participants learn how to develop a psychological and archetypal perspective on current events, and to identify those specific sociopolitical issues shaped within the crucible of their own psycho-historical background, and for which they might have a calling.
